Help Wanted! (November-December 2023)
As we end the year, some of our ministries are planning for the next year and are looking for volunteers. If you are available and keen, we encourage you to contact the ministry, and see how you can build up the church in these practical ways!
The Local Church and Building Healthy Churches
On 20 and 21 October, we hosted two conferences with Mark Dever, pastor of Capital Hill Baptist Church and from 9Marks ministry. The first conference was targeted at leaders ("Building Healthy Churches"). The other, which was jointly organised with Adam Road Presbyterian Church (ARPC) was for church members ("The Local Church").

Church Picnic (13 Nov 2023)
How do you spend your public holidays? For many in GBC, the morning of 13 November 2023, a public holiday, was spent at our church picnic.

Ministry Trainees 2023
The Ministry Traineeship, formerly known as the Ministry Internship, runs from July to November this year. For this cycle, we have four trainees joining us -- Melissa Fam, Roy Lam and Joshua Shoo.
Confessing Our Sins Using The Beatitudes
Deacon Bryan Tan led us in a exemplary prayer of confession in our worship service on 22 Oct. He modelled it on Jesus' teachings about the Beautitudes from Matthew 5:3-10.

Baptisms and Transfers—September 2023
We had the joy of welcoming 23 new members in the month of September over two Sundays. Five joined us by baptism while the other nineteen joined us by transfer.

Our worship team recently introduced this new song, "Bless the Lord, O My Soul (Psalm 103)", by Sovereign Grace Music. Based on Psalm 103, this song walks us through the many reasons that believers have to bless the Lord with our entire beings and soul.

Does Science Disprove Christianity?
At their 16 September 2023 youth session, Joshua led the youths to think about this topic. Through this talk, the youths were encouraged to consider how science and Christianity are not at odds, and the pursuit of science may also help us to worship God.
