July marked the start of our internship programme. This year, we have three new interns—Liam, Jillian and Gideon.

One of the aspirations for our church is to encourage "every-member ministry". Throughout the week and at our weekend services, different church members are at work to serve the church and build up the church with their gifts. Here are some ministry needs!

Samuel Ho, who was one of our interns last year, recently joined us as a Ministry Apprentice. We invited him for this interview to find out more about him as well as some of his plans.

The past two years have seen many changes in the Welcome Ministry as the team adapts to evolving safe management requirements as well as learns how to better welcome and connect an increasing number of visitors to our church in spite of the pandemic.

At the monthly CLOBS sessions, our care group leaders (CGLs)not only spend time preparing for the CG studies, but also learn about various topics that help equip them to lead. At a recent CLOBS session, the CGLs looked at how our prayers together can be shaped by the Bible.

The Wednesday Bible Study meets regularly for their mid-week Bible study and Andrew Wong shares about what they have been doing, their focus for 2022 and how COVID has affected their studies. 

The worship ministry recently held their first in-person worship ministry meeting, the first in two years. Toshi shares with us the ways that God has provided for the ministry over the past two years.

Ephesians 4 tells us it is the risen Lord Jesus who graciously gives shepherds to His church, for the purpose of equipping the saints for ministry. The elders are thankful for how God has raised up faithful men who are willing to shepherd God’s church by serving as pastors-elders.

From February to November 2021, we had a class—Preaching Lab—where a group of ~20 brothers came together to be equipped for the ministry of the Word. We hear from them what they have learnt, how they have benefited and what they were thankful for.

From May to September, the Young Adults (YAs) spent ten weeks as a ministry exploring the Ten Commandments together under the "Adulting 101" series.

Bibianna is our new ministry worker for communications and women’s ministry and she just joined the staff team at the start of August. In this article, we requested for her to introduce herself and the work that she will be doing, and also what prompted her to join GBC in this capacity.
