ECL Retreat 2024

Our elders held their annual retreat on 22 June! Our staff and lay elders came together to spend a day praying for one another and the church.

They also spent time planning for the coming year focussing on thematic areas of teaching and addressing congregational needs. These plans will be shared in subsequent Members’ Meeting. We encourage members to save the dates, and attend these Meetings and/or read the updates that follow. Our next Members’ Meeting will be on 14 July 2024, from 11.15am to 12.30pm. At this meeting, we will also be voting on the agenda items, which includes new pastoral and elder candidates.

As we were reminded recently from 1 Thessalonians 5:12–13, ‘We ask you, brothers, to respect those who labor among you and are over you in the Lord and admonish you, and to esteem them very highly in love because of their work. Be at peace among yourselves.” Let us continue to pray for the elders to lead humbly and be committed to God's will.
