Certainly This Man Was Innocent
Luke 23:26-56
(A) Before 9am (Lk 23:26-31)
(B) 9am to 12pm (Lk 23:32-43)
"Twas I that shed the sacred blood, I nailed him to the tree, I crucified the Christ of God, I joined the mockery.” - Horatius Bonar
(C) 12pm to 3pm (Lk 23:44-49)
(D) 3pm to nightfall (Lk 23:50-56)
Reflection Questions:
- How much did Jesus love me at the Cross — that He would bear up God’s full wrath for me — and how have I loved Him back?
- Have I been proud and arrogant before the Cross in the way I live my life? Am I now in need of His mercy?
- What does the innocence of Christ Jesus on Good Friday mean to me?
