Prepare for Worship ( 5 Apr 2020)
What burdens are you bearing today? Let's draw near to Jesus Christ for help, for He is gentle and strong to save.
Call to Worship: John 1:1-5
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things wer made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it."
Press on everyone as we enter into our 2nd Sunday of online worship as a church! Let's be thankful for the gift of technology that though we cannot physically gather, we can still connect with one another online. Let us continue to worship together this Sunday through livestreaming via our YouTube channel.
Let's also not forget to look out for or check-in on one another during this time. Some ways you can care for people -- give a call, send a text message to encourage them, write a card, send a care package or offer to pray for them.
Here is this week's livestreaming:

GOD'S WORD IN WORSHIP
This Sunday is Palm Sunday which is the start of the Holy Week leading to Resurrection Sunday. It's a day we remember and celebrate Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem as Saviour and King. Let's prepare our hearts to hear from Pastor Eugene about "The Gentle Saviour" this Sunday. His sermon text is from Isaiah 42:1-9. Be praying for him as he points us to the gentle Servant who has come to bring the light of God's righteous rule over the nations.
PRAYING FOR THE COMMUNITY
As we live in unusual times, let's be praying for our leaders who are doing their utmost to slow the community spread through various precautionary measures. Let's pray for us as a church to hold out the gospel and christian witness at this time, doing our part to be socially responsible. Pray for us to persevere in our faith and not lose heart, learning what it means to radically depend on our Saviour and King. Let's not forget to pray for our sister, Pauline who prepares the weekly ministry guide to keep us abreast with what's happening in church. Here is this week's ministry guide for your prayer.
