Prepare for Worship (10 & 11 Apr 2021)
In what ways does Jesus' resurrection strengthen our faith and deepen our trust?
Call to Worship: Ezekiel 34:22-24
“I will rescue my flock; they shall no longer be a prey. And I will judge between sheep and sheep.
And I will set up over them one shepherd, my servant David, and he shall feed them; he shall feed them and be their shepherd.
And I, the Lord, will be their God, and my servant David shall be prince among them. I am the Lord; I have spoken."

GOD'S WORD IN WORSHIP
This weekend, Pastor Ollie will be taking the pulpit and his sermon is titled "Christ, Raised to Life" and the sermon text is taken from Luke 24:13-35. He will point us to Jesus, the Christ who died and was raised to life as promised in the Scriptures. Let's pray that God's word will speak to Pastor Ollie as he prepares his sermon and that he will preach with conviction and authority, revealing our need for and radical dependence on Jesus.
PRAYING FOR THE COMMUNITY
This week, let's devote ourselves to pray for these needs:
- As a church, to recognise the opportunities afforded by the nations in Singapore, to reach out and seed the gospel.
- Thank God for Jonathan Yao, one of our missionaries, and the ministry opportunities that God has given him this Covid season and continue to uphold him in prayer for his ministry in East Asia School of Theology.
- Pray for Austen and Jessica who wed last Saturday that God will be central in their marriage and that they will honour Him in their new life together as husband and wife.
- Pray for the churches in Indonesia to remain not only faithful to God's word but also in their faithful witness in the country. Pray for God's mercy and protection on the churches there that they will trust in God despite the recent bombing of a church there.
