Prepare for Worship (5 Jul 2020)

Ministry Guide (5 Jul 2020)

How has God demonstrated His faithfulness to me? How can that reminder strengthen me today?

Call to Worship: Lamentations 3:22-26

"The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
"The Lord is my portion," says my soul, "therefore I will hope in him."
The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him.
It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord."

GOD'S WORD IN WORSHIP

This week, we continue to learn from the life of David, who is described as "a man after God's heart". The sermon text for this Sunday is Psalm 40 and the sermon title is "A Song of Praise in the Midst of Grief". Let's be praying for Pastor Ian as he teaches us through this psalm to plan for praise in a day of trouble because God has shown Himself faithful.  Let us pray for us to expect God to be faithful even in these days of challenge.

PRAYING FOR THE COMMUNITY

Let's be praying for the team that helps us live-stream our service every Sunday that God will bless their heart of service and sacrifice. Let's also pray for the small congregation of 50 or smaller, that they will be encouraged and strengthened in their faith. Let's also pray for the Quartely Congregational Meeting happening this Sunday at 11am that it wiill be conducted in a God-honouring way. Do continue to pray for our elders as they and their spouses lend themselves to love and care for the church. For more of what's happening in the life of the church, please refer to this week's ministry guide.
