How has the Cross of Christ shaped the way I live?

Call to Worship: Revelation 5:11-14

"Then I looked, and I heard around the throne and the living creatures and the elders the voice of many angels, numbering myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands, saying with a loud voice,
"Worthy is the Lamb who was slain,
to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might
honor and glory and blessing!"
And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying,
"To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb
be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!"
And the four living creatures said, "Amen!" and the elders fell down and worshiped."

This Sunday, we welcome Elder Caleb Yap who will bring God's word to us. His sermon is titled "The Christian and the Cross". He will take us through Luke 9:18-27 and remind us that our personal clarity and daily choices find their final satisfaction in taking up the Cross of Christ, the Lamb that was slain for us. Let's be praying for Caleb who has a busy week that God will guard his heart and mind in his sermon prep and that grant him clarity of the text. Pray for us that we will respond to the sermon by taking up our cross daily in following Jesus.

Last week we published a post on "Prayer Points During Circuit Breaker". Do continue to use the prayer points in the post to intercede for the nation, community and GBC. Let us learn to depend on God and trust Him, acknowledging our weakness before Him, and recognizing that He will do far more abundantly that we ask for. Let us also not forget to continually give thanks to God for nothing happens without His knowledge and control -- He is the omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent God.  His grace is indeed sufficient for us. Here's this week's ministry guide for us to uphold what's happening in the life of GBC.
