Prepare for Worship (8 Dec 2019)

How would it look like for me to respond in humble trust in God when I find myself in confusing times?

Call to Worship: Isaish 9: 6-7

"For to us a child is born,

to us a son is given;

and the government shall be upon his shoulder,

and his name shall be called

Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,

Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Of the increase of his government and of peace

there will be no end,

on the throne of David and over his kingdom,

to establish it and to uphold it

with justice and with righteousness

from this time forth and forevermore.

The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this."

Here are the songs for this week.

Pastor Oliver will be bringing us the sermon on this 2nd Sunday of Advent and his sermon is titled " The Coming of God's Deliverer King". He will be preaching from Luke 1:26-38 and he will remind us that we can trust and submit to God's plans because the word of our gracious God never fails. Let's pray for Pastor Oliver  that God will speak to him as he meditates on the text and speaks of God’s power to do the miraculous for His people’s good.

This week, we want to be praying for those who are sick in our midst that God will grant strength and comfort to them and their families who are caring for them. We also want to be praying for those who are taking the step of obedience to baptism on 15 Dec. Let's continue to pray for God to prepare the hearts of friends and loved ones that will be coming for our Christmas service. For a glimpse of how we do life together, please refer to this week's ministry guide and be praying for the church and the different ministries.
