Prepare for Worship (10 Nov 2019)

How am I building up my brothers and sisters in Christ?

Call to Worship: Psalm 133:1-3

"Behold, how good and pleasant it is

when brothers dwell in unity!

It is like the precious oil on the head,

running down on the beard,

on the beard of Aaron,

running down on the collar of his robes!

It is like the dew of Hermon,

which falls on the mountains of Zion!

For there the LORD has commanded the blessing,

life forevermore."

SONGS OF WORSHIP

Here are the songs for this week.

GOD'S WORD IN WORSHIP

Taking the pulpit this Sunday is Pastor Eugene who will be preaching from Romans 14:13 to 15:13. His sermon is titled "Welcome One Another". As he brings us to focus on our God of encouragement who has united different people through His Son, we as God's people must then lay aside our interests in order to love and serve one another for us to live in harmony. Let's pray for Pastor Eugene to be encouraged and strengthened by the passage. Pray also that God will prepare the hearts of His people that we will be stirred to glorify Him as one united people.

PRAYING FOR THE COMMUNITY

We want to uphold the families of Elder Song Huat and Eng Khin as they continue to grieve their loss. Also, as Vacation Bible School (VBS) is round the corner, let's be praying for wisdom and strength for Deborah Yap and team, and the many helpers as well. Also, be praying for the 76 children who have registered so far that they will have a personal encounter with God and be drawn to Him at VBS.  For other opportunities to show love and serve one another in community other than VBS, please refer to this Sunday's ministry guide and be praying that we will glorify God as His people.
