In what ways has the Evil One sought to erode my sense of security as God’s child?

Call to Worship: Deuteronomy 6:4-5, 13-14

““Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. 5 You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might...

13 It is the LORD your God you shall fear. Him you shall serve and by his name you shall swear. 14 You shall not go after other gods, the gods of the peoples who are around you.”

Here are the songs for this week.

Continuing with the book of Luke this week is Pastor Ian. His sermon is based on Luke 4:1-13 and titled "Tempted in Every Way". Pastor Ian will exhort us to put our trust in the Holy Spirit who equips us to stand against temptation. Pray for Pastor Ian that God will  use his sermon to bring glory to God, joy to the people and salvation to the lost.

We want to continue praying for David and Jane who are still grieving over the loss of a loved one this week. Pray that they will find strength and comfort in God. Also, let us pray for our church administrator, Kok Pui who was hospitalized for an acute asthma attack and flu, that God will restore him to health. Let us also be praying for the newcomers that God has brought to GBC in the past months and for the opportunity to connect with some of them over lunch this Sunday.  We trust that it will be a meaningful time of interaction and getting them connected to the church. For more of how we do life together as a community, here is this week's ministry guide for your prayer and participation.
