Prepare for Worship (6 Oct 2019)
This week, let's prep ourselves for worship by asking: What in the church am I here for?
Call to Worship: Romans 12:1-2
"I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. 2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect."
Here are the songs for this week.
GOD'S WORD IN WORSHIP
This Sunday, Pastor Ian will be continuing with the Romans series, preaching from Romans 12:3-8. His sermon is titled "Grace Gifts" and he will focus on our generous God of grace who brought us together and specifically gifted us for fruitful living. Let's be praying for Pastor Ian that he will be faithful in preaching God's truth and exhorting us to exercise our gifts for God's glory.
PRAYING FOR THE COMMUNITY
This week as we celebrate Children's Day, we want to thank God for the children that He has blessed us with and let's be praying that GBC as a community will love the children as our own and that collectively we will commit to love not just the children but also the parents and teachers who love and teach them. Also, let's be praying for our last QCM for 2019 where our elders will be sharing important ministry matters and updates. For more information on our community life and prayer needs, please refer to this week's ministry guide.
