Prepare for Worship (3 Mar 2019)

As you come before God this week, search your heart and see if you have been dependent on the righteousness from God, or from yourself and humbly seek His forgiveness if you have been trusting in your own righteousness.

Call to Worship: Psalm 111:1-3

“Praise the Lord!

I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart,

in the company of the upright, in the congregation.

Great are the works of the Lord,

studied by all who delight in them.

Full of splendor and majesty is his work,

and his righteousness endures forever.

Here are the songs for this week.

We welcome our Associate Pastor, Sam, back to the pulpit this Sunday. His sermon this week is titled "Who Are We Depending On?" from Romans 3:21-26. The main idea of his sermon is that we can only be made righteous by faith, apart from the law and we must internalise this truth and live it out. Let's pray that God will anoint his lips and speak forth with power and conviction. And pray that we will be dependent on the righteousness of God.

This week, let's pray for wisdom for those students who have just received their A level results that they entrust their next steps to God and for those who are going to enlist for National Service. Also, continue to uphold the sick in our midst that God will grant them strength and restore them to health. For more of our needs and life together as a community, please refer to this week's ministry guide and prayerfully consider how you can steward your time and gift to serve the body.
