Prepare for Worship (28 Jun 2020)

Ministry Guide (28 Jun 2020)

How is God calling me to hope in Him amid life's challenges and trials?

Call to Worship: Psalm 130:5-8

"I wait for the LORD, my soul waits,
and in his word I hope;
my soul waits for the Lord
more than watchmen for the morning,
more than watchmen for the morning.
O Israel, hope in the LORD!
For with the LORD there is steadfast love,
and with him is plentiful redemption.
And he will redeem Israel
from all his iniquities."

GOD'S WORD IN WORSHIP

Continuing with Psalms this Sunday is Pastor Eugene who will be preaching from Psalm 39 and his sermon is titled "Make Me Know My End!". He will help us learn from the life of David about how suffering prompts him to break the silence and cry out for divine deliverance as he feels the frailty of life and his need for his only true hope - God. Let us pray for Pastor Eugene that his sermon will strengthen our faith and us to speak to God amidst our suffering and pain.

PRAYING FOR THE COMMUNITY

We thank God that the Covid19 situation has eased somewhat and we are now able to livestream from church. Let's pray for our people to be socially responsible and observe the safe-distancing as we continue in this fight against coronavirus. Pray for us as a church that we will remain steadfast and faithful to God and to one another. Please pray for God's wisdom for our elders as they plan for the next steps going forward. Pray too for our Children's Ministry as the ministry team and teachers reach out to the children and parents on Sundays. Pray that the children will grow in their knowledge of God and to love Him more. For other information on the life of the church, please refer to this week's ministry guide.
