Prepare for Worship (28 July 2019)
In this past week, how has your life been a reflection of your love for God?
WORSHIP PREPARATION
Call to Worship: Psalm 36:5-9
Your steadfast love, O Lord, extends to the heavens,
your faithfulness to the clouds.
Your righteousness is like the mountains of God;
your judgments are like the great deep;
man and beast you save, O Lord.
How precious is your steadfast love, O God!
The children of mankind take refuge in the shadow of your wings.
They feast on the abundance of your house,
and you give them drink from the river of your delights.
For with you is the fountain of life;
in your light do we see light.
Here are the songs for this week.
GOD'S WORD IN WORSHIP
We will be taking a break from the book of Romans this week. Pastor Samuel Beh will be preaching from Deut 6:4-15 and this will be his last sermon before he heads out to Vancouver for seminary studies. The title of his sermon is "From Generation to Generation". The big idea of his sermon is about responding to God’s love by loving Him from the inside-out, with everything we have, and everywhere we are. Let's be praying for Sam as he prepares his sermon that God will give him clarity.
PRAYING FOR THE COMMUNITY
We thank God for the ministry of Pastor Samuel Beh and Jess in our midst and especially among the youths. Let's be praying for them as they enter another phase of their life in Canada, away from their familiar environment, families, friends and church. Pray for God's protection to be upon them and perseverance as they and kids adjust to another culture. Besides praying for them, here is this week's ministy guide for us to uphold the church in prayer as we do life together and live out the gospel as a community.
