Prepare for Worship (27 & 28 Nov 2021)

Ministry Guide (27 & 28 Nov 2021)

How did I joyfully praise God this week for who He is and what He has done for me?

Call to Worship: Revelation 7:9-10
"9 After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, 10 and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” 11 And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures, and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, 12 saying, “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our God forever and ever! Amen.”

Taking the pulpit for the first time in GBC is our Ministry Worker for Youth, Mr Joshua Lowe who will be preaching from Psalm 47 this weekend. His sermon is titled "Rejoice the Lord is King" and he will point us to the loving King who reigns over all the earth and He alone deserves all our praise. Let us uphold Josh in prayer, asking God to grant him confidence in the power of the gospel and edify the church through the preaching of the word.

Let us be praying for the needs below as we come before God :

  • Family Dedication: The families to commit to raise their children with godly affection, instruction and discipline. With God’s help, to teach their children about the Good News of Jesus Christ and what it means to live by faith in Him
  • Budget:  Wisdom through the budget process and to use our resources to invest in gospel growth
  • Upcoming weddings: The couples will sacrificially love each other so that their marriages reflect the love of Christ for His Bride, the church.
  • Kay Poh Rd Baptist Church:Pray for their Youth Camp in Dec and the team of speakers from GBC led by Ollie. Pray for the young people to continue to benefit much from messages, helping them to grow in their faith. Pray for the church to have a smooth transition to the new year as they have a few changes taking place.
  • Evangel Baptist Church: Thanksgiving for the work God is doing  and pray that He will complete it.(Phil 1:6). Pray that for God to help them grow as a Gospel-shaped community, for God to send many non-believers and unchurched to Evangel and for the Lord to bless them with many more like-minded co-labourers.

Let us also pray for the ministry activities highlighted in this week's ministry guide.
