Prepare for Worship (26 Apr 2020)

Ministry Guide (26 April 2020)

How has God used challenging times to increase your dependence on Him?

Call to Worship: Psalm 93:1-5 (NLT)

"The Lord is king! He is robed in majesty.
Indeed, the Lord is robed in majesty and armed with strength.
The world stands firm and cannot be shaken.
Your throne, O Lord, has stood from time immemorial. You youself are from the everlasting past.
The floods have risen up, O Lord. The floods have roared like thunder;
the floods have lifted their pounding waves.
But mightier than the violent raging of the seas, mightier than the breakers on the shore-
the Lord above is mightier than these!
Your royal laws cannot be changed. Your reign, O Lord, is holy forever and ever."

ONLINE WORSHIP

You can join us for worship online via our YouTube channel.

Here are the songs for this week:

GOD'S WORD IN WORSHIP

Pastor Ian is the preacher this Sunday and he will be sharing with us God's word from Luke 7:18-35. The title of his sermon is "Redefining Greatness" and he will point us to our faithful, unchanging God who in His sovereignty, recalibrates leadership plans and expectations. Let's pray for Pastor Ian that God will speak through him and that He will convict those who hear to respond in submission to God's desires for those who lead.

PRAYING FOR THE COMMUNITY

Our government made a hard decision to extend the Circuit Breaker for another month yesterday. Though this means a longer period of inconvenience, stress and disruptions to life, yet we can rest in God's faithful providence and peace that He is in sovereign control of the situation. Let's continue to uphold one another to cling all the more to God and His word that gives life. Let's check in on one another during this time when we cannot gather as a church. Pray for those who are displaced and suffering during this time that God will turn their hearts to Him. Let's not forget to pray for our healthcare system which is bearing the weight of this pandemic. As we have moved our essential ministries online, do keep the leaders in prayer as we adapt and make changes in view of the current situation. Here is this week's ministry guide for your prayer.
