Prepare for Worship (24 Nov 2019)
Have I been displaying grace together with my brothers- and sisters-in-Christ?
Call to Worship: Ephesians 4:1-6
"I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call— one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all."
Here are the songs for this week.
GOD'S WORD IN WORSHIP
We will complete our sermon series on the book of Romans this Sunday and bringing to us the last sermon from the book is Pastor Eugene. His sermon is titled "Grace Together" and the text is taken from Romans 16:1-27. The big idea of his sermon is that God has graciously brought us together in Christ, so that we might work together for the gospel, for God’s glory. Let's pray for Pastor Eugene that God will empower him to speak with power and conviction. Pray for us that our hearts will be tender towards God's truth and to live out His purpose for the growth of the gospel.
PRAYING FOR THE COMMUNITY
This week, let's be in prayer for those who are sick in our midst that God will give strength and comfort to them. We also want to be praying for Vacation Bible School which starts on 28 Nov that God will prepare the hearts of the children to receive God's truths and for fruit from this event. Pray also for the teachers and helpers to be channels of God's love and grace to the children. meeting. Let's ask God to bless the work of the different ministries mentioned in this week's ministry guide.
