Prepare for Worship (23 Jun 2019)
Is Jesus obvious in the way I treat those close to me?
WORSHIP PREPARATION
Call to Worship: Lamentations 3:22-24
"The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
his mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
“The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,
“therefore I will hope in him.”
Here are the songs for this week.
GOD'S WORD IN WORSHIP
This week, Pastor Ian will take us through the bibilical theology of marriage. His sermon is titled "Mission Impossible" and he will be preaching from Ephesians 4:32. The big idea of his sermon is that in both church and family, we are called to steward the person and character of God. Let's pray that God will give him understanding of the passage as he prepares his sermon and for us, the church to seek to respond to each other with the same affection with which God has loved us.
PRAYING FOR THE COMMUNITY
We thank God for the church camp which concluded last week. We are indeed grateful for His provision and protection during the camp. More importantly, let's pray for fruit from the camp that we will live out what it means to be "Grace Together" in community. Let us also gather as a church for a time of praise and prayer at our monthly prayer meeting on 28 Jun. For more of our community life and needs, here is this week's ministry guide for your prayer and participation.
