Prepare for Worship (21 Jun 2020)

Ministry Guide (21 Jun 2020)

What sins do I have to come clean with and confess before God?

Call to Worship: Psalm 51:1-4

"Have mercy on me, O God,
according to your steadfast love;
according to your abundance mercy
blot out my transgressions.
Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity,
cleanse me from my sin!
For I know my transgressions,
and my sin is ever before me.
Against you, you only, have I sinned
and done what is evil in your sight,
so that you may be justified in your words
and blameless in your judgment."

Here are the songs for this week:

This week we are taking a break from Luke and start on a mini-series on Psalms. Kicking off this series is Pastor Oliver who will be preaching from Psalm 38. His sermon is titled "A Desperate Plea for God's Forgiveness". He will urge us to plead for God's forgiveness in view of His justice and mercy. Let's pray for Pastor Oliver that as he prepares his sermon, God will grant him understanding and that his sermon will bring encouragement, life and strength to us.

This Sunday being Father's Day, let us not forget to thank our Heavenly Father who has freely given us the gift of salvation through His Son and loving us sacrificially and unconditionally even when we are so undeserving. Let us also be praying for our earthly fathers who love and care for us and those who have given themselves as a father to a child. Praise God for placing fathers in our lives to model for us what it means to live for God and pray that they will continue to abide in Him. For fathers who have yet to put their faith in God, pray that God will continue to pursue them and turn their hearts to Him. In addition, we also thank God that we have entered into Phase 2 of post Circuit Breaker. Please continue to pray for our political leaders to have wisdom as they make decisions to help bring some normality back to the economy. Here is this week's ministry guide for your prayer and participation.
