Prepare for Worship (17 Jun 2018)

How has knowing God deeply and intimately changed your heart affections towards Him?

Call to Worship: Matthew 25:31-33

"When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him,

then he will sit on his glorious throne.

Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another

as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.

And he will place the sheep on his right, but the goats on the left."

Here are the songs for this week.

This Sunday, Pastor Oliver is preaching from Hosea 4:1-6:3  and his sermon is titled “Hear and Return". The big idea of his sermon is that God is faithful to His nature that He will bring the curses of the covenant on a faithless people who reject the knowledge of God. Let us as a people take heed and repent and return to God for He is our judge who is faithful to punish covenant transgressors who refuse to know God.

Here is this week's ministry guide which gives us a peek into how we do life together as a community in GBC. Today being Father's Day, let us be praying that God will put in our non-believing fathers a desire to seek after Him, to know Him as their personal Lord and Saviour. And let us also prayerfully consider how we can better steward the time and talents that God has blessed us with to serve and grow this church community. Let us grow to be a church that seeks godliness and be looking out for the needs of others.
