Prepare for Worship (15 Dec 2019)

In what specific ways will I praise the coming King with my lips and with my life during this Advent season?

Call to Worship: Psalm 98: 1-4

" Oh sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous things!

His right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him.

The Lord has made known his salvation;

he has revealed his righteousness in the sight of the nations.

He has remembered his steadfast love and faithfulness to the house of Israel.

All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth; break forth into joyous song and sing praises!"

SONGS OF WORSHIP

Here are the songs for this week.

GOD'S WORD IN WORSHIP

We welcome Pastor Oliver again for another week of preaching. His sermon this Sunday is titled "Our Song of Praise" taken from Luke 1:39-56. He will remind us that we have a joyous reason to magnify God's name for He has kept His promises to His people. Let's pray for Pastor Oliver that God's word will first speak to him and that God's name will indeed be magnified in his preaching.

PRAYING FOR THE COMMUNITY

We give thanks for those who are stepping out in faith to get baptized this Sunday. Let's pray that their personal testimonies will be an inspiration and encouragement to all who witness this joyous moment. We also want to thank God that the YA had a blessed time at their outreach event "God at Work" last Saturday where some of our very own shared their lives with young working adults. Let's pray for fruit and God's grace for our young working people that they will seek to glorify God at work. Let's also be praying for other needs in the church that are listed in this week's ministry guide.
