Prepare for Worship (13 &14 Nov 2021)

Ministry Guide (13 & 14 Nov 2021)

How have we been taking joy in the God of our salvation?

Call to Worship: Psalm 18:31-33
"For who is God, but the Lord?
And who is a rock, except our God?—
the God who equipped me with strength
and made my way blameless.
He made my feet like the feet of a deer
and set me secure on the heights."

GOD'S WORD IN WORSHIP

The Hope sermon series ends this week with Habakkuk 3:1-19 and bringing the book to a close is Pastor Oliver. His sermon is titled "How Great, O Lord!" and he will encourage us to trust in our great God and rejoice in His salvation amid the violence and injustice of the world. Let us keep Pastor Oliver in prayer that he will be faithful to the text and that God's word will turn the hearts of people to trust in Him and His salvation.

PRAYING FOR THE COMMUNITY

As you spend time with God this week, do remember some of our folks in your prayer. Perhaps get a copy of our membership directory from the church office and be praying for the church body using this prayer that Paul prays for the Colossians in Col 1:9-14:

"And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, 10 so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11 being strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy; 12 giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. 13 He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins."

For other needs of the church, here is this week's ministry guide for our participation and prayer.
