Prepare for Worship (1 Sep 2019)

Isaiah 30:21 says, “and whenever you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear this command behind you: ‘This is the way. Walk in it’.”  What choice do I need to make today, in order to keep walking in the way?

Call to Worship: Deuteronomy 30:14, 19b-20a

"But the word is very near you. It is in your mouth and in your heart, so that you can do it.

Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live,

loving the LORD your God, obeying his voice and holding fast to him

for he is your life and length of days."

Here are the songs for this week.

This Sunday, we welcome Pastor Ian back to the pulpit. He will be preaching from Romans 10:1-13 and his sermon is titled "One Road to Righteousness" and indeed Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. Please pray for Pastor Ian that God will give him wisdom and clarity in his sermon preparation. In response to the sermon, pray that we will choose to come daily, confessing that Christ is our Lord and placing ourselves beneath His authority.

Let's be praying for those who are unwell that they will find trust and rest in God, their rock and fortress . Pray also for the caregivers in our midst that God will give strength to them and encourage their heart in this demanding role of caring for their loved ones. There are other needs in the church body that we can be praying for and they can be found in this week's ministry guide. Let's pray that God will bless the work of our hands as we love and serve one another.
