Prepare for Worship (30 & 31 Jan 2021)

Ministry Guide (30 & 31 Jan 2021)

In what areas of your life have you been "blinded" by your fears and chose not to live by faith?

Call to Worship: Isaiah 35:4-6

"Be strong, and do not fear,
for your God is coming to destroy your enemies.
He is coming to save you."
And when he comes, he will open the eyes of the blind
and unplug the ears of the deaf.
The lame will leap like a deer
and those who cannot speak will sing for joy!
Springs will gush forth in the wilderness,
and streams will water the wasteland."

Completing the mini-series on "Living by Faith" this week is Pastor Oliver who will remind us from Luke 18:31-43 that spiritual sight comes by trusting that Jesus is the promised One of God who died for our sin and was raised  for our life. Let's be praying for Pastor Oliver that God will give him understanding and the boldness to proclaim the gospel as he brings God's word to us.

Let us remember to pray for the needs around us:

  • Let's continue to pray for our Children's Ministry which resumes classes this Sunday. Pray for the logistics involved in the safe management process and that the current teachers and children will experience the joy of the Lord, meeting and learning more about God in-person. Pray also for more labourers to partner the increasing needs of the ministry.
  • Pray for the upcoming Equip sessions starting 2 Feb on the "Gospel at Work". Pray God's help to live out our faith at work as we gather to learn how working for King Jesus gives purpose and meaning to our jobs.
  • Let's also be praying for Bethesda Bukit Arang, one of the churches in Singapore in particular for the Senior Pastor, Ivan Chow. Pray for the church to be rooted in and grow in the gospel. Pray that they will be faithful to the word, united in partnership for the gospel and to humbly and courageously proclaim the gospel.
