Prepare for Worship (20 & 21 Feb 2021)
How are we submitting to King Jesus? What areas of our lives do we need to bring under His authority?
Call to Worship: Psalm 2:7-8, 11-12
“I will tell of the decree:
The LORD said to me, "You are my Son;
today I have begotten you.
Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage,
and the ends of the earth your possession.
Serve the LORD with fear,
and rejoice with trembling.
Kiss the Son,
lest he be angry, and you perish in the way,
for his wrath is quickly kindled.
Blessed are all who take refuge in him."

GOD'S WORD IN WORSHIP
Bringing us the God's word this week is Pastor Eugene who will be preaching from Luke 20:1-26 and his sermon is titled "Who's In Charge?". He will point us to Jesus who speaks and acts with the authority of God's beloved Son, and to reject Him is to reject God. Let us pray that God will give Pastor Eugene a special measure of His grace as he preaches God's word, knowing that he cannot do this life-changing work without God.
PRAYING FOR THE COMMUNITY
This week, let us pray for the needs around us and entrust them to God's sovereign care:
- Pray for those in the church who have mental and emotional health struggles that God will encourage and strengthen them
- Pray for those looking for work or anxious about their jobs that God will be their anchor and stay, trusting in His word and provision
- Pray for the Children's Ministry and Nursery that God will provide volunteers to serve and for us to steward and disciple these young lives well
For more of other ministry needs, here's this week's ministry guide for your prayer and participation.
