VII. Missions

Prayer & Praise:

Prayer request from Lily Pang as she waits on God with regards to retirement:

“I have been thinking & praying & waiting on Him over the issue of retirement. 32 years exactly to 18 December next month, an ideal time to go. Though I consider it a sad time when all I witnessed was a ruined church in the UK, our Father did not fail to shine through the darkness by literally displaying Matt 6:25-33 three times in the brief three weeks of my stay there. These verses are pivotal in launching me into the work in 1979 and now, in reassuring me of His providence as He points the way for me to walk in.”

- Pray for peace and comfort from the Lord whenever the thought of retirement dawns on her. Pray that she will depend on Him to provide for her retirement.

VIII Worship Ministry

Prayer & Praise:

- Thank God that we are slowly ironing out the sound system at CHS. Pray that we will continue to display patience & preserve a good working relationship with the personnel from CHS.

- Continue to pray for more worship musicians, sound crew & projectionists to join the team & share in this ministry for the glory of His Kingdom.

- Pray that the congregation will continue to grow in their gospel-centered worship for the Lord.

- Pray for the upcoming Christmas and Watchnight services. Thank God for allowing us to finalise on the venue and timings for both events. Continue to pray for the planning and rehearsals for these services and that people will serve with joy for the Lord.

IX. Church Rebuilding

Prayer & Praise:

- Myanmar Fellowship. We thank God that Singapore Baptist Church has confirmed the use of their premises for the Myanmar Fellowship on Sundays for worship service. Please pray that the fellowship will be able to adapt to the change of venue well.

- Ground-breaking ceremony. We praise God that 165 worshippers attended the ground-breaking ceremony on 21 November 2015. It was a meaningful event when Dr Poulson shared from the Word and 5 members from both the English and Chinese congregations representing different generations broke ground.

- Building project. The demolition of the old church building is nearly complete. Do pray that the construction project will be able to progress according to plan as we look to completion mid 2017. Please also pray for the safety of all the workers at the construction site during this period of construction.
