Let's Prepare for Worship this Sunday (25 Jun 17)

Call to Worship : Psalm 33:1-5

Shout for joy in the Lord, O you righteous!
    Praise befits the upright.
Give thanks to the Lord with the lyre;
    make melody to him with the harp of ten strings!
Sing to him a new song;
    play skillfully on the strings, with loud shouts.

For the word of the Lord is upright,
    and all his work is done in faithfulness.
He loves righteousness and justice;
    the earth is full of the steadfast love of the Lord.

Who is this God that we come before and shout for joy? This week, let's echo the words of the psalmist and praise our God who loves righteousness and justice, whose work is done in love and faithfulness.

Here are the songs to help us prepare for worship this week.

This week, Pastor Oliver will be preaching from Acts 9:19b-3 and his sermon is titled, "Go It Together". The big idea is that the work of telling others the gospel is best done in partnership with other believers and through the fellowship, advocacy and care of the local church. Let's keep Pastor Oliver in prayer as he prepares the sermon, and also pray that our hearts will be open to receive God's Word.

Here's this week's ministry guide which provides a glimpse of what community life is in GBC. Let us continue to participate in praying and serving in the various ministries of the church and be a gospel-centred community that glorifies God in word and deed.

See you on Sunday!
