Let's Prepare for Worship This Sunday (15 Jan 2017)
Let's put aside all the happenings of the week and just spend some quiet moments and prepare our hearts to praise and worship our Almighty God who showed His great power when He crushed those who challenge Him and His people to demonstrate His glory and might in Ps 83:1-4 & 17-18.
Here are the pre-service reflection questions, call to worship passage, and songs for this Sunday to help direct our thoughts to God:
Psalm 83:1-4, 17-18 (NLT):
O God, do not be silent!
Do not be deaf.
Do not be quiet, O God.
Don’t you hear the uproar of your enemies?
Don’t you see that your arrogant enemies are rising up?
They devise crafty schemes against your people;
they conspire against your precious ones.
“Come,” they say, “let us wipe out Israel as a nation.
We will destroy the very memory of its existence.”
Let them be ashamed and terrified forever.
Let them die in disgrace.
Then they will learn that you alone are called the Lord,
that you alone are the Most High,
supreme over all the earth.
3. Pre-service reflection questions :
a. How has God shown His power and might in your life this week?
b. Have we checked our hearts to see if we are truly at peace with God through Christ and not one of His adversaries?
