Let's Prepare for Worship This Sunday (19 Feb 2017)

WORSHIP PREPARATION

How has your week been? Perhaps you are going through a rough patch in your life that you don't see the light at the end of the tunnel, and begin to wonder why or even question God. How about putting all these life's challenges aside and just come before our God of salvation in prayer and let Him carry the burden for you? And as you come to worship with the larger body of Christ this Sunday, be thankful that He is in control of every circumstance of your life.

Here are the pre-service reflection questions, call to worship passage, and songs for this Sunday to help direct our thoughts to God:

Psalm 88:1-7 (NLT):
O LORD, God of my salvation,
I cry out to you by day.
I come to you at night.
2 Now hear my prayer;
listen to my cry.
3 For my life is full of troubles,
and death draws near.
4 I am as good as dead,
like a strong man with no strength left.
5 They have left me among the dead,
and I lie like a corpse in a grave.
I am forgotten,
cut off from your care.
6 You have thrown me into the lowest pit,
into the darkest depths.
7 Your anger weighs me down;
with wave after wave you have engulfed me.

Pre-service reflection questions :
a. Are you struggling or suffering? How might you need the mercy and comfort of God now?
b. Is there any area of your life where you need to remember God's good and perfect sovereignty?

SONGS FOR WORSHIP

You can find the lyrics and scores of the songs here.

GOD'S WORD IN WORSHIP

Continuing with the Not Ashamed sermon series, this Sunday's sermon is on Acts 4 - "When People Get Annoyed with Jesus Only". Let's come with expectancy to hear God's truth through His servant and go forth with boldness to meet the what God has in store for us.

PRAYING FOR THE COMMUNITY

What better way to care for the church community? Praying for them! Here is the bulletin where you can get a glimpse of the community life and be praying for their needs and perhaps participating in serving one another.

May you have a blessed time of encountering God in your preparation and see you on Sunday!
