Prepare for Worship (20 & 21 Nov 2021)
Why is it important to have a right view of God? How is God a refuge and strength to us?
Call to Worship: Psalm 34:17-18
"When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears
and delivers them out of all their troubles.
The Lord is near to the brokenhearted
and saves the crushed in spirit."

GOD'S WORD IN WORSHIP
This week we return to our sermon series on Psalms: The King and His People and we are privileged to have Pastor Jeremy Lee from Evangel Baptist Church bring God's word to us. He will be reminding us to draw near to our God in Psalm 46, who is a very present help in trouble. Let's pray for Pastor Jeremy that his sermon will encourage and strengthen the weary-hearted to trust in God, our mighty fortress.
PRAYING FOR THE COMMUNITY
"24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near." So, let us as a church, reach out to the folks among us and encourage one another to gather for corporate worship, and be praying for one another to seek refuge in God and His word. In addition, let us commit the needs below to God as well:
- Budget: Thanksgiving for God’s provision thus far. Pray for faith to continue trusting Him with our plans and finances. Pray for wisdom to be faithful stewards of His resources to grow the gospel.
- Youth camp (Dec 17-19) - Pray for the speakers (Bryan, Chuan Xin, Keng Teck and Nick) to be clear in their messages and that the youths will be receptive to God’s word. Pray for the youth leaders will be encouraged by the camp and that God will continue to strengthen them as they seek to minister to the youth. Pray that the whole COVID situation will not impede the camp too much.
For other needs of the church, here is this week's ministry guide for our participation and prayer.
