Getting Ready to Move Back
Lam 3:22-23 (ESV): “The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”
Since November 2015, rebuilding work has been going on intensively at 17 Mattar Road and we are happy to announce that we have finally obtained the Temporary Occupation Permit (TOP) on 13 July 2017. We want to praise God for His provision, protection and faithfulness in sustaining us through this journey of faith.
We also want to praise God for supplying all our finances and we are grateful for the sacrificial giving and commitment of our church. As at 2 July 2017, we have surpassed the target funds raised of $17.8m. The original project cost was $18.99m but the Steering Committee and its sub-committees have worked hard to look into areas of cost-saving, reducing the final project cost to $17.8m.
We thank God for the Steering Committee, its sub-committees and many others for the tireless work that they have been putting in for the entire project.
We are currently preparing for the move back and here are the key dates to look out for:
As we enter into the final phase of the rebuilding project, please continue to uphold the building committee in prayers. Pray also that the relocation of the office and Sunday worship services will be smooth; that we will keep our eyes on Jesus and put on love, patience and understanding with regards to the many changes and potential confusion, and put aside selfish motives, self-interests and self-glory.
Sign up now for the distribution of fliers to invite our neighbours in MacPherson to come visit us!
