PRE-SERVICE PRAYER | 7:45 AM AND 9:15 AM I ANNEXE
We encourage members to come 15 minutes before service on Sundays and gather to pray for Spiritual Revival and Renewal as we embark to become a disciple-making church that transforms lives with the gospel and love of Jesus Christ.
FAST AND PRAY
GBC Leadership has been actively praying for God's leading us into our Rebuilding Project and we want to encourage members and worshippers to join in fasting and praying. Together, let us seek God's continued leading and wisdom as we embark on this journey of faith. Plan to fast and pray as an individual; as a Care Group or as a Ministry. Set aside a time of the day in abstinence of food to discern God's voice. We have set up a Notice Board outside the Annex, where you can indicate that you would like to join in a time of fasting and praying. No names are needed; coloured stickers are provided.
The Church Rebuilding Steering Committee received rebuilding proposals from 3 architectural companies on 17 March 2014. The Committee met over the subsequent week with 3 other experts from within the church to study, deliberate, and decide on the proposed plans. In the coming week, the Committee will present its recommendation to both the English and Chinese congregational leaderships for consideration and concurrence. Once a decision is made, the church members will meet at the Extra-ordinary General Meeting on 27 April 2014 to vote on the proposed plan.
To help in the deliberation process, a town hall meeting will be held on 13 April 2014 when the proposed plan, cost estimate, and projected timeline will be presented in detail to all members. Members are encouraged to attend the town hall meeting and seek clarification on any matter pertaining to the church rebuilding.

Update from Pastoral Search Committee (PSC)
As shared at the recent EC Meeting of Mar 23, the PSC has been tasked by the church leadership to expand the pastoral search to include an experienced Pastor. This Pastor will have substantial Pastoral ministry experience. We are looking for one who is able to effectively preach the Gospel and teach the Bible, experienced in pastoral care, counselling, evangelism, as well as experienced in fostering team work among the Church Staff. This candidate is in addition to the ongoing search for a Pastor for Career Adults and Newly Married couples. The profiles for these 2 candidates are available at the church website.
Anyone knowing of potential candidates for these positions is encouraged to bring them to the attention of the PSC comprised of Tony Chan, Lam Lup Meng, Lee Chung Cheong, Beh Soo Hee, and Phua Cheow Loon.
Ps Arnold is stepping off the PSC to concentrate on several other priorities for GBC and shall continue to lend his support to the committee in an advisory capacity.
Given the importance and urgent need for pastors, the PSC humbly request the church to continue to pray for and to wait patiently upon the Lord for His leading and provision.
