Sermon Schedule for April 2017

Our time in the first seven chapters of Acts tells us that the gospel is proclaimed and the number of believers grew. And in reaction to the explosive increase in numbers, the early believers faced external opposition, internal deception and divisive complaints. Despite these challenges, the Word of God continued to increase and the number of believers multiplied.

In the month of April, we will be taking a break from our sermon series in the book of Acts. In its stead, we will be having messages to help us prepare our hearts for Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday. Also, when we made our way through Acts, we saw how God through the Holy Spirit, empowered His people for witness to Jesus Christ. But just who is the Holy Spirit and what does He do? We shall have two messages in the second half of April to help us understand the person and work of the Holy Spirit.

So, as a church, let us prepare our hearts to receive our crucified and risen King this Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday. Let us think of the cross and in response, live lives that are cross-shaped. And in doing so, be Spirit-empowered witnesses to the world for our King Jesus Christ.
