Prepare for Worship (24 June 2018)

How have we been doing as Christ’s ambassadors this week? Are there any areas of sin that we need to repent of?

WORSHIP PREPARATION

Call to Worship: Psalm 51:7-12

"Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean;

wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

Let me hear joy and gladness;

let the bones that you have broken rejoice.

Hide your face from my sins,

and blot out all my iniquities.

Create in me a clean heart, O God,

and renew a right spirit within me.

Cast me not away from your presence,

and take not your Holy Spirit from me.

Restore to me the joy of your salvation,

and uphold me with a willing spirit."

SONGS OF WORSHIP

Here are the songs for this week.

GOD'S WORD IN WORSHIP

This Sunday, our Elder Associate, Sam Beh, is preaching fromHosea 7:1-9:17 and his sermon is titled “Enough is Enough". Let's be praying for him as he reminds us of God who sees all sin and will not let sin go unpunished. Let us in response, examine our lives against God’s word, and to recognize and repent of sin in our lives, while thanking God that in Christ, the curse of sin has been completely removed.

PRAYING FOR THE COMMUNITY

Here is this week's ministry guide which gives us a peek into how we do life together as a community in GBC. We welcome Esther Yap who has just joined us as a missions intern for 6 months on 19 Jun and let's be praying for her as she does ministry in the months ahead. And let us also prayerfully consider how we can better steward the time and talents that God has blessed us with to serve and grow this church community. Let us grow to be a church that seeks godliness and be looking out for the needs of others.
