Prepare for Worship (25 Feb 2018)

Call to Worship : Deuteronomy 31:6-8

"Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.

Then Moses summoned Joshua and said to him in the sight of all Israel, “Be strong and courageous, for you shall go with this people into the land that the LORD has sworn to their fathers to give them, and you shall put them in possession of it.  It is the LORD who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”

As you prepare for Sunday, consider if there is any area of your life today that would benefit from perseverance? Then, take a moment and invite God to give you lasting strength because He is the living God who calls and sustains.

Here are the songs to help us prepare for worship this week.

Our preacher this week is Pastor Ian. His sermon this Sunday is titled “Let No One Despise You" and he is preaching from on 1 Timothy 4:1-16. The big idea of his sermon is about focusing on the call and setting our hope on the living God who calls and sustains us during crises. Let's pray for Pastor Ian that the word of God will first speak to his heart and that he will preach God's truth with conviction and boldness.

Here's this week's ministry guide which gives us a peek into how we do life together as a community in GBC. Let us prayerfully consider how we can better serve this church community with our God-given gifts and talents by co-labouring with the various ministries. Let us together as a family help build this church into a gospel-centred community that glorifies God.

See you on Sunday!
