Prepare for Worship (30 Dec 2018)
How has God been good to you this past week? Give thanks for these experiences.
Call to Worship: Psalm 13: 5-6
“But I have trusted in your steadfast love;
my heart shall rejoice in your salvation.
I will sing to the Lord,
because he has dealt bountifully with me."
Here are the songs for this week.
GOD'S WORD IN WORSHIP
Closing the year for the pulpit this week is Pastor Oliver who will be preaching from Psalm 13:1-6. His sermon titled "How Long, O God?". The big idea of his sermon is that we can trust in our good God in the midst of struggles and suffering because He is a God of steadfast love and goodness. So, let us respond with a confident trust in Him and sing of His goodness.
PRAYING FOR THE COMMUNITY
We thank God for Lianne who is getting baptized on Sunday. Let's keep her in prayer and also pray for us that as a church that we will provide a safe place for her to grow and serve. As we end the year, let's gather for the Watchnight Service to recount God's goodness and blessings for the year. Let's pray that it will be a time of great encouragement and thanksgiving. For more prayer needs, please refer to this week's ministry guide.
