Prepare for Worship (2 Dec 2018)

How has trust in God’s sovereign rule over all things encourage you this week?

WORSHIP PREPARATION

Call to Worship: Micah 4:6-7

“In that coming day,” says the Lord,

“I will gather together those who are lame,

those who have been exiles,

and those whom I have filled with grief.

Those who are weak will survive as a remnant;

those who were exiles will become a strong nation.

Then I, the Lord, will rule from Jerusalem

as their king forever.”

SONGS OF WORSHIP

Here are the songs for this week.

GOD'S WORD IN WORSHIP

Taking the pulpit this Sunday is Pastor Oliver who will kick off our Advent series on "Psalms". He will be preaching from Psalm 2 and his sermon is titled "Submitting For Our Joy". He will point us to our Messiah King who is the Sovereign Ruler anointed by God, and whom we should serve with reverent fear and great joy. May we submit to Jesus our King with reverent joy.

PRAYING FOR THE COMMUNITY

We thank God for another ministry opportunity at Thomson Road Baptist Church where Pastor Ian will be preaching. Please pray that he will speak with much clarity and that God's word will take root and flourish in the lives of His people there. We also want to be praying for Esther who will be going for her assignment soon. For more needs of the church, please refer to our ministry guide and prayerfully consider how you can steward the gift of time and talents to serve the community as we do life together.
