Prepare for Worship (20 May 2018)

This week, let us prepare our hearts to meet with God by considering the times that He has responded to us with persevering grace.

Call to Worship: Psalm 67:1-5

May God be gracious to us and bless us

and make his face to shine upon us,

that your way may be known on earth,

your saving power among all nations.

Let the peoples praise you, O God;

let all the peoples praise you!

Let the nations be glad and sing for joy,

for you judge the peoples with equity

and guide the nations upon earth.

Let the peoples praise you, O God;

let all the peoples praise you!

Here are the songs for this week

This Sunday, Pastor Ian, who will be preaching from Deuteronomy 28:1-14 and his sermon is titled “The Fruit of Obedience”. He will remind us that choices are easy when we are living within God's pleasure but at the same time point us to this poignant truth that disaster is near when we fail to follow God. So, we are to trust and obey our God of tenacious grace, in order to fulfill His mission among the nations.

Here's this week's ministry guide which gives us a peek into how we do life together as a community in GBC. Let us remember our GBC missions team who is in Pua this week, serving the children in Kathy's Home. Let us also prayerfully consider how we can better steward the time and talents that God has blessed us with to serve and grow this church community. Let us grow to be a church that seeks godliness and be looking out for the needs of others.
