Prepare for Worship (14 Apr 2019)

How is King Jesus calling you to come to Him for peace?

Call to Worship: Psalm 118:22-26

“The stone that the builders rejected

has become the cornerstone.

This is the Lord's doing;

 it is marvelous in our eyes.

This is the day that the Lord has made;

let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Save us, we pray, O Lord!

O Lord, we pray, give us success!

Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!

We bless you from the house of the Lord.

Here are the songs for this week.

This week, we take a break from Romans and turn to the book of Luke as we look at the death and Resurrection of Christ. Pastor Eugene will be preaching from Luke 19:28-44  and his sermon is titled "The Weeping King". He will point us to Jesus, the promised King who weeps over the hardness of our hearts. Let's pray for Pastor Eugene that God will anoint his lips as he brings God's word to us and pray that we will heed God's word and draw near to Him.

As we approach Good Friday, let's spend some time contemplating the Cross where justice and mercy meet, where Jesus who knew no sin became sin for us, bearing the punishment on our behalf. Pray that as we having received grace from Him will extend the same grace to those outside and within the household of faith.  In the same spirit, let's pray for those who are struggling in the faith and grappling with inexplicable pain as well. Here is  this week's ministry guide for your prayer as well.
