Prepare for Worship (11 Feb 2018)

Call to Worship : Isaiah 55:6-9

"Seek the Lord while he may be found;

call upon him while he is near;

let the wicked forsake his way,

and the unrighteous man his thoughts;

let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him,

and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

For my thoughts are not your thoughts,

neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord.

For as the heavens are higher than the earth,

so are my ways higher than your ways

and my thoughts than you thoughts."

If God's ways and thoughts are higher than ours, how open are we to a word from God that challenges our worldview? Are we submitting to God's design for our lives by living according to His way? As we ponder over these questions, let's be grateful to God for His grace and wisdom in saving us and ordering our lives according to His perfect plan.

Here are the songs to help us prepare for worship this week.

Continuing with the theme "Believe, Belong, Behave", Pastor Eugene's sermon this Sunday is titled "Live God's Way" from 1 Timothy 2:1-15. The big idea of his sermon is about God who lavishes His grace and love on all of us, and in His grace teaches us how to live according to His ways. Let's pray that God will use him to exhort men and women in GBC to pursue godliness together.

This Sunday, we rejoice with Noah Tan who is taking a step of obedience through baptism. Let's welcome him to the GBC family and be praying for him as he lives out his life for God's glory wherever God has placed him. For other needs of our community life here in GBC, please refer to this week's ministry guide. Let's encourage one another to prayerfully consider playing a part in serving one another in this community.

See you on Sunday!
