Prepare for Sunday Worship (24 Sep 17)

Call to Worship : Psalm 130:5-8

"I wait for the Lord, my soul waits,

    and in his word I hope;

my soul waits for the Lord

more than watchmen for the morning,

    more than watchmen for the morning.

O Israel, hope in the Lord!

   For with the Lord there is steadfast love,

     and with him is plentiful redemption.

And he will redeem Israel

from all his iniquities.

Has it been a tough week for you? If it has, let's take comfort that we can find refuge in God, our liberator, whose priceless blood has ransomed us and for that, rejoice and glory in his plentiful redemption and mercy. As we gather with God's people on Sunday, let us give praise and thanks to our God, the great Redeemer.

Here are the songs to help us prepare for worship this week.

This Sunday, Pastor Ian will be preaching from Acts 16:16-34 and his sermon is titled "Singing in the Dark". The big idea of his sermon is that the Gospel gives strength to liberate that even in the most difficult times, songs are released, chains are broken, captives released, communities transformed. Let's uphold Pastor Ian in prayer as he prepares the sermon and pray that he will speak God's words that will impact and move the church to love him more and grow to be more like Jesus.

Here is this week's ministry guide where we see what God is working in and through the church and its ministries. Let us prayerfully consider how we can do life together as a community of believers by participating in serving one another.

See you on Sunday!
