New Sermon Series on "One Another" beginning on 24 Jan 2016

This Sunday, GBC will start a new sermon series called "One Another", in the light of presenting everyone mature in Christ through living out the implications of the gospel as a community of Christ. In this post, Pastor Arnold shares with us his thoughts on this series :

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:34-35 (NASB)

What is the big idea of the series?

In this captivating statement, Jesus tells us that one of the most significant and powerful testimonies of who His disciples are is how they feel & act towards one another. The world is watching, evaluating, keeping accounts and remembering how believers relate to one another and others. Our treatment of one another is a symptom of the reality of Christ who resides in our hearts as our Savior and Lord.

What can we expect to learn from the series?

In this new series, we will study passages that will help us understand what God means and wants when He tells us to accept, encourage, and honor one another. This series will challenge us individually and collectively as a community of Christ to be and do what God wants.

How can we be praying before or throughout the series?

Let's pray that God will open our hearts to not only understand His word but to obey it as well. The world is waiting and watching, so let us help them see the reality of Christ through us.
