Let's Prepare for Worship This Sunday (12 Feb 2017)

WORSHIP PREPARATION

This week, as we prepare for Sunday worship, let's come before Him with thankful hearts for the hope we have in Jesus and rejoice at the day where we will meet Him face to face. What a glorious moment it will be when all the saints gather in praise to our Almighty Father echoing the words of this hymn "Our Song from Age to Age" :

Oh God of all of history
Enthroned in realms of light
What eyes of faith have strained to see
Will one day fill our sight
With all the saints we’ll lay our crowns
Before the Savior’s feet
And sing as all the heav’ns resound
For all eternity

Here are the pre-service reflection questions, call to worship passage, and songs for this Sunday to help direct our thoughts to God:

Psalm 87:1-7 (NLT):
On the holy mountain
stands the city founded by the Lord.
2 He loves the city of Jerusalem
more than any other city in Israel.
3 O city of God,
what glorious things are said of you!
4 I will count Egypt and Babylon among those who know me—
also Philistia and Tyre, and even distant Ethiopia.
They have all become citizens of Jerusalem!
5 Regarding Jerusalem it will be said,
“Everyone enjoys the rights of citizenship there.”
And the Most High will personally bless this city.
6 When the Lord registers the nations, he will say,
“They have all become citizens of Jerusalem.”
7 The people will play flutes and sing,
“The source of my life springs from Jerusalem!”

3. Pre-service reflection questions :
a. All the nations of the earth will come to praise God in Zion. How much do we look forward to that great day of praise?
b. Have you made this world your home instead of remembering that we are only pilgrims passing through?

SONGS FOR WORSHIP

You can find the lyrics and scores of the songs here.

GOD'S WORD IN WORSHIP

Continuing with the Not Ashamed sermon series, this Sunday's sermon is on Acts 3 - "All Hail the Power of Jesus' Name". Let's come with expectancy to hear God's truth through His servant.

PRAYING FOR THE COMMUNITY

What better way to care for the church community? Praying for them! Here is the bulletin where you can get a glimpse of the community life and be praying for their needs and perhaps participating in serving one another.

May you have a blessed time of encountering God in your preparation and see you on Sunday!
