Prepare for Worship (11 Nov 2018)

Are you facing any challenge in your life right now, that would benefit from your complete reliance on the God of victory? Let's spend a moment reflecting on this question as you prepare your heart to worship God.

WORSHIP PREPARATION

Call to Worship: Psalm 24:7-10

“Lift up your heads, O gates!

And be lifted up, O ancient doors,

that the King of glory may come in.

Who is this King of glory?

The Lord, strong and mighty,

the Lord, mighty in battle!

Lift up your heads, O Gates

And lift them up, O ancient doors,

that the King of glory may come in.

Who is this King of glory?

The Lord of hosts,

he is the King of glory! Selah

SONGS OF WORSHIP

Here are the songs for this week.

GOD'S WORD IN WORSHIP

The preacher for this Sunday is Pastor Ian and his sermon titled "The God of Victory". His sermon will be taken from 1 John 5:1-5. The main idea of his sermon is that those born of God are equipped to overcome the world because our God is a God of victory. May we determine to live each day with confident hope in the God who overcomes.

PRAYING FOR THE COMMUNITY

We are thankful for the opportunity to serve The Gladiolus Place in their spring cleaning and a time of interacting with them this week. Let us pray for fruit from the gospel conversations over prata at the YA evangelistic event on Saturday, 10 Nov. For more prayer needs, please refer to this week's ministry guide and consider how we can serve the church and one another besides praying.
