Let's Prepare for Worship this Sunday (14 May 17)
WORSHIP PREPARATION
Do you know that you are precious in God’s eyes? As you reflect on this week's call to worship, thank God for the precious gift of Jesus Christ who gave His life in exchange for our lives.
Call to Worship: Isaiah 43:3-7
“For I am the Lord your God,
the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.
I give Egypt as your ransom,
Cush and Seba in exchange for you.
Because you are precious in my eyes,
and honored, and I love you,
I give men in return for you,
peoples in exchange for your life.
Fear not, for I am with you;
I will bring your offspring from the east,
and from the west I will gather you.
I will say to the north, Give up,
and to the south, Do not withhold;
bring my sons from afar
and my daughters from the end of the earth,
everyone who is called by my name,
whom I created for my glory,
whom I formed and made.”
Let us praise and give glory to God. Let us proclaim God our Saviour who rescues us through Jesus Christ; let us pour out our lives so that peoples may come to know our God. Here are the songs, sermon passage and ministry guide to help us prepare our hearts for this Sunday :
SONGS FOR WORSHIP
Here are the songs to help you worship God this week.
GOD'S WORD IN WORSHIP
This Sunday is the 2nd Sunday of GBC's Great Commission Month. Bringing us the sermon this week is our former pastor, Rev. Dr Bobby Lee, who is currently serving as Executive Director of the Singapore Baptist Convention.He will be speaking on “Identity, Intent, and Impact” (Matt 28:19-20). Let's be praying for Bobby as he brings God's Word to us and for us to know that the Great Commission is for every disciple or believer in Jesus Christ.
PRAYING FOR THE COMMUNITY
There are different ways we can care for our church community and one of which is to pray for them. Please be praying not only for the needs of the various ministries that seek to serve the church but also for yourself to participate in serving one another.
Let's do life together as a church in Worship, in Word and in Community. See you on Sunday!
