OTHER EVENTS:

SINGAPORE EXPOSITORY PREACHING COURSE 2016-17

To all those involved in Word ministry and interested in equipping and training to improve your preaching and teaching of the Word, do take note of this weekly expository preaching course.

The Singapore Expository Preaching Course ("SEPC") will be taught by preachers and trainers like Rev Dr Paul Barker, Rev Neil Watkinson, Rev Dr Andrew Reid and Rev Mark Dickens. Collectively, they have decades in preaching and pastoral ministry including preaching training in centres and seminaries around the world. They will be assisted by local ministers/preachers committed to expository preaching.

It's a commitment of 2.5 hours on a Monday evening and another 2-4 hours of prep per week on average (not for exams or essays, but for preaching presentations!) - plus one Saturday morning a month. We will spend about 4 weeks each on understanding and learning to preach/teach each of the major Bible genres e.g. Gospel narrative, Prophecy, etc. So it's 6 hours per week over 30 weeks towards a lifetime of ministry. If you would like to get equipped for Word ministry (or if you know anybody who would like to get equipped), please get in touch (or encourage them along). Starts 12 Sept.

13 Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to exhortation, to teaching. 14 Do not neglect the gift you have, which was given you by prophecy when the council of elders laid their hands on you. 15 Practise these things, immerse yourself in them, so that all may see your progress. 16 Keep a close watch on yourself and on the teaching. Persist in this, for by so doing you will save both yourself and your hearers.(1 Tim 4:13-15).

Please contact Marc Wang (97596305) or email sepcourse@gmail.com for more details or an application form. Places are limited to 12 men and 4 women (on the women's ministry stream).

Closing Date for applications is 25 August.
