Becoming a member of GBC
Scripture teaches that the church is central to a Christian's discipleship and growth. God saves us into a community of His people. The church is where we know and are known by others, as well as where we love and serve one another. Therefore, we encourage Christians to commit to a local church, where they can follow Jesus together with other believers.
If you would like to find out more about Grace Baptist Church or are considering membership with us, we would be happy to help you get to know us better! To become a member, we ask that you:
1. Meet with an elder. We would love to hear about God's gracious work in your life and how He led you to Christ. (can we link this to the elders' page?)
2. Attend the Church Matters class. This class explains what the Bible says about the church and what it means for us to be a part of a church. It also teaches through what GBC believes (our statement of faith) and how we do life together (our members' covenant). This class runs over three sessions. The next one will take place on July 15, 22 and 29, 2018.
